Life has been rapidly changing for us. I am in my 6th week of training with Vaughan Fire & Rescue Service, which has been amazing. Even more amazing though is the fact that our baby should be with us by next week. I am hoping to put more pics up soon, and write more regularily. Life is unbelievably busy right now, but we are so blessed. So here’s a pic of my gorgeous wife sunning her pregnant belly!

So just now recovering from our annual trek down to Columbus to watch our beloved TFC take on 2009 MLS champs the Columbus Crew. Myself and 4 close pals rented a van and made the 7 hour trip. As usual it was an absolute blast, and the Reds came out with a draw. I plan on posting more pics at the end of the week.

Well finally after a many detours, and distractions I have finally been able to launch my brothers new blog! Jamie is an amazing, and gifted writer. Missional.ca is where he tackles more spiritual/social/theological issues. A lot of people all over the globe follow his writings, and participate in some very interesting discussions, so it was quite an honour for me be able to build it for him. I highly recommend subscribing to it! Check it out today!

I just got back from a great weekend up at a pals cottage. It was our annual Boyz Weekend (pics to come)! The weekend, as usual, was full of loud movies, loud music, and unhealthy, high cholesterol, delicious food! We played poker, fired around 500 hundred rounds at over 300 clay pigeons, drank moderate amounts of various tasty beverages, and generally acted like cavemen for 48 hours!
I have to say though, my most enjoyed moments, were when I decided to go for a walk with my camera to get away from the chaos for a few moments, and I ran into a friendly little Nuthatch.
This little fellow was barley visible to me on the road. His chirps are what caught my attention initially, so I crouched down to try to take a picture. Well, it turned out this bird LOVED the camera. He posed beautifully for me for a couple of minutes.
For the most part these amazing creatures are usually invisible to us…. I’m glad he wanted his picture taken!
